STOLEN DAY
No matter who you are you have lied at least once in your life. Liars, just like the boy in this very interesting short story, all end up the same way. They lead themselves into pain and regret. The short story “The Stolen Day” shows how and why lying is bad.
Sometimes you get away with lying, yet most of the time you get in trouble. Even if you might lie all the time you have been caught at least once, like the boy in this story, who was caught because his lie accidently slipped out. People who get caught lying know it is not fun being yelled at just. Sometimes being sent to your room or even loosing privileges like TV, games, and toys may seem like a harsh punishment but you are misusing someone’s trust. Because the people you lied to are angry at you they think it is fair to punish you harshly. Since you now know about how people get punished you can understand what the boy in “Stolen Day” has to face next like losing privileges. That is another reason why this short story is so great because it is so realistic.
As a result of these fun and interesting lessons this short story teaches you about why lying is bad, stolen day is a very great book and that is why you should read this book and understand about what sort of people lie for their own uses.
